FRP Ships Two Three-Disc Magnetic Separators to Brazil for Tantalum-Niobium and Tin Processing

FRP has recently shipped two Three-Disc Magnetic Separators to a client in Brazil. The equipment will be used for the separation of tantalum-niobium and tin ores at the customer's processing site.

The Three-Disc Magnetic Separator is a dry magnetic separation system designed for the selective recovery of minerals with varying magnetic susceptibilities and rare metals. It features three independently controlled magnetic discs, allowing staged separation through adjustable magnetic field intensity, disc spacing, and belt speed.

Key technical features include:

  • High magnetic field intensity – up to 20,000 Gauss, effective for separating weakly magnetic minerals;
  • Fine particle processing – suitable for material sizes between 0.02–2 mm with high separation accuracy;
  • Dry operation – requires no water or chemicals, environmentally friendly with low operating cost;
  • Wide application range – applicable for wolframite, cassiterite, tantalite, columbite, ilmenite, chromite, manganese ore, zircon, monazite, garnet, and more.
